Hi, Robin, and welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
The good news is that you are still able to apply the price of an unused Theme Park ticket toward a
Walt Disney World Resort Annual Pass renewal. Since you will be
renewing as opposed to
upgrading for the first time, I would recommend visiting the new
Disney Ticket Center at Disney Springs or any of the
Guest Relations locations at any of the Theme Parks to make the application. If you’re a Guest at an official
Walt Disney World Resort hotel, your hotel’s concierge should be able to help you, too. While
typical renewals can also be done through the
My Disney Experience mobile app or
over the phone, since yours is an exceptional circumstance, I would recommend renewing in person since "
upgrades from tickets to annual passes are not available online or via the phone at this time."
The amount applied toward your Annual Pass will depend on the type of ticket and validity date(s) of the ticket(s) purchased as a part of your package. You’ll also want to make sure you activate your renewal within 14 days of the ticket’s validity window and within 60 days before or 30 days after your Annual Pass’ expiration date, too.
For additional information about Annual Pass renewals and upgrades, check out the
Frequently Asked Questions on the
Walt Disney World Resort website,
call the dedicated Annual Passholder helpline, or
submit your question online.
In the meantime, please let us know if there are any additional questions we can answer for you, Robin. We hope to see you real soon.
Amy
