My question is we will be in Walt Disney World August 2017. Staying at the Polynesian. We have breakfast reservations at Garden Grill at Epcot at 8 am on 8/29. How much time do I need to plan for to get from hotel to park and then restaurant?

    Hi Amy!

Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I'm so excited for you to stay at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort! Whatever you do, don't miss out on the Spikey Pineapple & Tonga Toast during your stay!

I would recommend downloading the My Disney Experience mobile app because it can actually give you estimated travel times between any destinations within Walt Disney World. After you open the app, if you scroll along the top and select Resort Hotels and then select your resort, then Get Directions. You'll then want to type in The Garden Grill and select from the populating menu. The two arrows on the right hand side can flip your origin and destination.

Right now if I search between Disney's Polynesian Village Resort and The Garden Grill at Epcot the app will tell you your mode of transportation will be the Resort Monorail and it estimates your travel time to be 34 minutes. This does not take into account security, so for an 8:00 AM reservation I'd plan on leaving your room by about 7-7:15 AM. This way you won't be rushed and able to enjoy your morning!

Say "Hi!" to Chip 'n' Dale for me and please let me know if you have any other questions!
