This question is from my sister, regarding the cruise: On the ship, Is it cellular telephone service that gets expensive or all data transmission, including texts and Internet access? Apps should be okay, right? Thanks yet again!

    Hey Arlene!

This is an excellent question because your sister sure doesn't want any surprises when she returns home!  Using your cell phone at sea can be very expensive because of Data Roaming Charges. If she makes a call, uses the internet or texts, her carrier will charge her.  If she has an iPhone, the best thing to do is to put it in "Airplane Mode."  This will let her use Apps, iPod, alarm clock, etc. without additional charges.

I hope this answer helps!  As always, please let me know how I can help you with your cruise plans!

    Have a great day!
