I have a question about the rest rooms available in the parks. I suffer from overactive bladder and unfortunately IBS-D. What happens if I am in line and I have a bathroom emergency? Are there bathrooms in any attractions? Will I lose my place in line?

    ChEARs Robin!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. As one of the two resident doctors on the panel, and also as the momma of three kiddos who take frequent bathroom breaks, I just had to grab your question!

The first thing that I want to assure you is that you are more than welcome to leave the line and return if you need to go to the bathroom. The easiest thing to do is talk to a nearby Cast Member, who will also be able to direct you to the closest bathroom. I’ve done this more than I can count in the Parks, so I also like to explain to the Guests around me that we’ve got to take a quick break and will be back. Everyone has been more than gracious and understanding each time! The great thing is bathrooms are strategically located close to attractions, so you won’t have far to go.

Robin, if you need medical help while you are visiting, there are First Aid Centers located in each of the Parks and Water Parks. I would suggest you download the My Disney Experience app before you arrive. On it, you can get directions to the First Aid Centers as well as locate bathrooms nearby. It will even give you step-by-step walking instructions!

If you have any other questions, please don’t hesitate to come back. I hope this trip is just what the doctor ordered!
