My question is we are planing our 2nd trip to Disneyworld on Dec 14-20 and my kids DD5 and DD3 want to go to the water park, are we crazy going there in December? My DD3 loves to use our outside pool when it only 55degrees.

The weather in December can vary widely. The average highs are in the low 70s, but that's just the average. In any particular year you might experience 50s or 80s. When we had our Moms Panel training in December 2007 we were at the Magic Kingdom sweating in sunny 84 degree weather. Blizzard Beach would have been very refreshing! At least one of the water parks will be open at all times of the year and you will find hearty souls enjoying the attractions there no matter what the thermometer says.

My family always visits WDW in February, a month with similar weather issues, and my kids LOVE the water parks. The way we plan our trips is that when we're mapping out which park for which day our plan will have one day at the beginning of our trip that says something like "Animal Kingdom OR Blizzard Beach." We'll make our meal reservations as if we're going to the Animal Kingdom, but if the weather is hot, we'll do a water park, (simply canceling our AK reservations). Of course we wouldn't miss the AK, so we'll have another "Animal Kingdom OR Blizzard Beach" day later in our plan too. If we already went to BB we'll do AK, and vice versa. If we already went to AK and the weather is still to icky for BB, then we'll spend some time at Downtown Disney or revisit some favorite rides at another park. It IS possible to be flexible AND plan at WDW.

Hope you have a great trip!
