Hello, I have a question for you. I've often read that you can ship a hand-built lightsaber from Savi's Workshop at Star Wars Galaxy's Edge to my home. Can you tell me how expensive it is to ship it to Germany? Thank you

Greetings, Sebastian, and welcome to planDisney!

Thank you for bringing your question to us right before your long journey to the Disneyland Resort! I'm excited for you to arrive and walk down Main Street, U.S.A. and catch a view of Sleeping Beauty Castle at the far end. I've always wanted to visit Neuschwanstein Castle in Germany, the original inspiration for Disneyland's iconic castle. In fact, you can see it during Soarin' Around the World!

You are correct that the Disneyland Resort offers international shipping for Guests who would like to send their souvenir purchases home. There are a handful of countries to which Disney does not ship, but thankfully Germany is not one of them. The cost of international shipping varies according to the cost of the item(s) being shipped, so I can't give you exact numbers. However, I have found that the cost might vary from 25-40% and of course these rates are subject to change. The best part is that you don't have to worry about packaging at all! Just bring your lightsaber to First Order Cargo (one of many locations that can ship) along with your receipt and they'll take care of the rest! And in 2-3 weeks, you'll come home to find a little bit of Disneyland magic waiting for you!

Pixar Fest will be going on over your visit, so I hope that you've studied up on your Pixar films! I'm particularly excited about Together Forever - A Pixar Nighttime Spectacular, which I've heard great things about. And that Pixar Fest Cake looks so delicious! Just take a look at the Foodie Guide for this event if you want to know about the yummy foods you'll find.

Sebastian, I hope this response was helpful for you and I wish you a truly magical visit to the Happiest Place on Earth! Please write back if you have any more questions for us. It would be our pleasure to help you again. Until next time!

Wishing You a Great, Big, Beautiful Tomorrow!

Meet the Panelist: Al, California

Ahoy there from the heart of Steinbeck Country in central California! I've been visiting the Disneyland Resort since childhood and fell in love with the sense of absolute immersion that the Imagineers have achieved. My favorite attraction is Pirates of the Caribbean because where else can you go from a California day to an evening boat ride in the bayou with "salty old pirates"? I'm a veterinarian and an all-around Disney geek and enthusiast. I'd love to help you plan your next Disneyland trip! Learn More About Al
