Hi! My question is about Mickey's Pirate and Princess parties for 2009. Several sites have dates listed but the Disney official site has even taken the party completely off of the special events page. Does anyone know what is going on? Thanks so much!!!

Hey, be patient, Disney is still putting up the Christmas holiday decorations! ;-)  LOL!

But more seriously, I understand that you want to plan things as early as possible (I'm the same).  Unfortunately, I also have not seen any official dates released for the Mickey's Pirates and Princess Parties (MPPP), but with some simple Google searching I have seen some dates posted unofficially on other sites.  I don't know for sure, but I suspect that these dates are based on looking through the WDW calendar and assuming that any night when the Magic Kingdom is scheduled to close at 7pm there will be a MPPP.

For example, currently the first dates in 2009 that I see a 7 pm closing time are Feb 20 and 27.  I think it's a reasonable assumption/guess that Disney is planning to host a MPPP on those dates.

Historically this approach works very well, but things can change, and WDW does sometimes (not common, but it can happen) update their calendars and change things around a little.  In the meantime, until the dates are officially announced (shouldn't be too long from now - but I don't know an exact date when they will announce the MPPP dates), if you need to predict dates for the party, I think the 7 pm closing time, is a reasonable indicator.

    Hope that helps.
