Ahoy, Michelle!
I can relate to your dilemma about choosing the perfect stateroom. There are debates about what location is the perfect location on the ship.
To me, ANY location on the
Disney Dream is better than a location NOT on the Disney Dream! But, my personal experience is this. I would look for a stateroom that is located a bit more midship than the category 5E on deck 6. While these staterooms are lovely, they are all the way at the back of the ship, making a very long walk anytime you need to get to the front of the ship (like for the nighttime Broadway-style shows in the
Walt Disney Theatre). I prefer midship locations, making the walk to either the front or the back nearly equal.
One of my cruise "rules" is that I never take the elevator. That way, when I get to dinner, I can partake in all of the indulgences and not feel too guilty. So, I try to choose a middle deck as well, my favorite usually being deck 8 of the Disney Dream and Fantasy and Deck 7 of the Magic and Wonder.
Since you are sailing on the Disney Dream to the Bahamas, I would also recommend booking a stateroom on the starboard side of the ship. That way, you have a lovely view from your verandah of Castaway Cay once the ship is docked.
I hope this helps with your cruise planning! Please let me know if you have more questions before your voyage on the Dream!
Happy Cruising, Tracy V.
