Hi Michelle! I know when I'm checking airline fares, it seems that the price keeps going up and up as the date gets closer to the day I want to fly somewhere. Unlike the airlines though, the resorts at Walt Disney World don't generally operate that way. There are, however, several reasons why you might be seeing a different rate than the last time you checked. First, the resorts at Walt Disney World often have several room types, all of which have different prices. It's possible that the resort you checked had a standard room available initially and now only has a more expensive water-view room open. Next, rates can vary depending on the day of the week and the number of people in your party. Is it possible that you looked at the rates before tax last time and now are looking at a higher rate because tax is included? Finally, Disney often has
Special Offers available, which lower the resort rate prices. Perhaps last time you clicked a link from the Special Offers page that gave you the discounted prices and now you're looking at the regular prices.
Once you reserve your room and pay your deposit, your rate for that reservation will not change. If you find a rate that you like, you should make a reservation to lock in that rate.
