Welcome to planDisney, Lauren!
Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend and Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party? I can’t think of a more perfect combo for one trip! I’m so glad you stopped by, so let’s make sure your vacation is picture-perfect.
You can purchase
Memory Maker anytime before your trip, but don’t activate it until you’re ready to start using it. Activation happens automatically when you scan for your first photo. If you purchase in advance through the Walt Disney World website, you’ll save $25 (price subject to change). To get the discounted pre-arrival price, be sure to buy it at least three days before your first park day, so for your October 23–27 trip, you'll want to do this by October 19.
Your Memory Maker will include all your runDisney race photos and your Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party shots, and everything in between.
For your race photos, just follow the instructions in your event guide or on the back of your bib to link them; it’s usually your 11-digit RaceID plus your 5-digit bib number (adding zeros if needed). Race photos typically appear in your account within 48 hours, so keep an eye out! And here’s a little tip from one runner to another...make sure to grab a post-race photo with your medals at your favorite park with a PhotoPass photographer. Those pictures are pure gold!
At
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, you’ll find plenty of PhotoPass opportunities too. Check your event guide in the
My Disney Experience app (type in Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party into the search feature and it will pop up), or pick up a party map at the entrance to see where photographers will be stationed. Be sure to ask about the Halloween-themed Magic Shots, because they’re frightfully fun! The Headless Horseman Magic Shot in Liberty Square is always a favorite, but there are lots of other spooktacular options, especially along Main Street, U.S.A.
I hope this helps you capture every magical mile and spooky smile on your trip, Lauren!
See ya real soon,
Eean
