My question is where can a family of 9 (6 adults-2 children & 1 infant) stay on site? We're planning on taking the family in early April 2009 as our treat, we would like to be together, what choices do we have, any money saving ideas? Thanks

You could have connecting rooms at almost any of the Disney resorts that could accommodate your party. The cheapest possible combination would be two connecting rooms at the value resorts. The rooms here each sleep four, plus a child under age three in a pack 'n play crib. The accommodations there are fine, but they would be tight. Slightly more expensive, but more space, would be connecting rooms at a moderate resort such as Port Orleans.

Your most comfortable option would be a two bedroom villa at Wilderness Lodge, Animal Kingdom Lodge, Boardwalk, Saratoga Springs, Old Key West, or Beach Club. These facilities include a bedroom with a king-sized bed, a bedroom with two queen-sized beds, two full bathrooms, a living room with a pull-out couch, and a real kitchen with stove, oven, dishwasher, refrigerator, washer/dryer, and all basic supplies. They are really like apartments right on WDW property. They are perfect for multi-generational families or parties of two or more families traveling together. You're together, but everyone has a bit of personal privacy too.

One great way to save money if you're staying in the villas is to take advantage of that kitchen. It's so easy there to eat breakfast and lunch in the room, thus saving bundles over meals in the parks. For more information and villa pricing, call Disney reservations at 407-W-DISNEY.
