Hi Jurre,
Welcome to planDisney! Some of my favorite European travel memories are in your country, so I am thrilled to help you live incredible moments here in mine!
I understand how those little fees can really add up on an international vacation. Let's work on a plan to keep those under control for your upcoming
Walt Disney World Resort vacation.
Great news: Walt Disney World Resort does accept Maestro as a form of payment. That means that if your Apple Wallet will allow you to connect your Maestro card, you should be able to use it at any purchase location. However, with each individual tap, you may incur any fees charged through your bank or card processor.
If you have decided to stay right in the heart of the magic in a
Walt Disney World Resort hotel, then I think I have an even better plan for you! Link your Maestro card to your
My Disney Experience account. Then, as you make food or merchandise purchases throughout Walt Disney World Resort, pay using a Disney band that you can purchase upon arrival or using the
Disney MagicMobile Service. That way, all of your purchases are charged to your Maestro account at once. That should save you individual purchase fees.
Another option would be to purchase a Disney Gift Card for the amount that you estimate you will spend on merchandise, food, and Enchanting Extras. That way you will only make one international purchase. From there, you would pay using the Disney Gift Card in USD.
I hope that is helpful, Jurre! Come back and visit us with any other questions. We are here for you!
Wishing you many magical memories,
Sally
