    Hi! I have a question about annual passes and the free dining plan. Is there any way to take part in the free dining plan w/ the annual pass. I was told when I called that I'd have to pay for at least a 2 day ticket. Is this in fact the case?

    Hi Shannon,

    In general, Disney's Annual Passholders are not eligible to take advantage of the Free Dining that is offered to other guests staying at the Walt Disney World Resorts. This is because dining is attached to your ticket which is bought through a package.

    However, if you purchase a separate park ticket, you can then add the dining. My question would be why add the free dining if you have to purchase another ticket and you have a ticket?

    I recommend you look at Tables in Wonderland. This discount card, which is a separate purchase, allows you a 20% discount on meals at select Walt Disney World Restaurants. The membership lasts a year and you can use it on multiple trips. I have this membership and I have saved more money than the annual fee. In addition, it might save you more than the price of adding extra park tickets and then getting the free dining.
