Hi, Sietske! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thanks so much for stopping by with your question. A few years ago, my sister happened to see an inexpensive flight to Orlando shortly before my family's trip, so she decided to come join us for some fun. I was so glad we were able to easily add her to our stay! My daughters were so excited to have their aunt there with us and they made tons of magical memories together.
You are welcome to change any aspect of your Walt Disney World Resort stay, including the addition of or removal of a guest from your Resort hotel stay. There are a few things to be aware of before you begin modifying your reservation. First, each Resort hotel has a set maximum number of guests that may stay in a room. Be sure to
look up your resort and room type to see how many guests it may hold. Also, some resorts do specify that to have more than two adults to a room will increase the per night rate by a designated amount per extra adult.
There are certain dates by which you will need to adhere when making room reservation changes. If you have booked a room-only reservation, then you have until five days before your check-in date to make modifications to your stay, including a change in your party's guests. If you have made a Magic Your Way Vacation Package reservation, then you have until 30 days before arrival to make all changes. Any change that you make after these noted deadlines will incur a $50 modification fee.
I hope this information helps you more easily plan your pixie-dusted adventures, Sietske! If you do decide to add your sister,
contact a Disney Resort Hotel Reservations Cast Member to do so and to check to see if there will be any fees associated with your change. Thank you again for stopping by and please let us know if you have any other questions.
