Hi, we have the QS DDP for our trip in September/October. I see that lunch or dinner come with a desert - can desert credits be used for snacks or a side instead? We probably won't want a desert every time so just wondering what the options are? :)

    Hi Michaela,

The Disney Dining Plan can be a great option for many, but there are rules that must be followed. All the Dining Plan literature clearly states that lunch and dinner come with desserts and that substitutions for this with appetizers, side dishes, or snacks are not permitted.

Some of the dessert offerings are more on the healthy side. Or you can save them to eat later as a snack or possibly even breakfast.

That being said, it never hurts to ask your server if you can have a substitute for dessert. While this does not follow the letter of the law, some cast members are willing to bend the rules a bit. The worst that can happen is that they'll say "no."

    Good luck!
