We are going on the QS DDP. Are there any meals that are excluded or is everything listed as an entree available for 1 credit?

Hi there John!  Thank you for bringing another great question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

I'm glad to hear you are already thinking about how to use your Disney Dining Plan entitlements on your upcoming trip.  The Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan includes 2 Quick-Service Meals (entree and beverage) and 2 Snacks per person per night of your stay.  In addition, each Guest age 3 and over will receive a refillable drink mug which may be used for the duration of your stay at the self-service beverage islands at any Disney Resort Hotel.

You'll be happy to know you may use your Quick-Service dining credits on any Quick-Service entree.  Exceptions would be a meal that is intended for more than one person, such as a large pizza or the Satu’li Sampler Platter at Satu'li Canteen.  Also, children ages 3 to 9 must order from the kids' menu in locations that offer kids' meals. (Some dining locations, such as Casey's Corner, do not have a separate kids' menu, and children may order any menu item.)

There are some meals that are really great values on the Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan, offering large enough portions that you might choose to share.  A couple of good examples are the 1/2 Rotisserie Chicken Meal at Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe, or the St. Louis Rib Dinner at Flame Tree Barbecue.

For hungry diners, a great use of a Quick Service dining credit is the Pizzafari Family-Style Dining at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park.  This family-style meal requires 1 Quick-Service credit per person, and includes appetizers, pizza, pasta, and dessert!  Or try Restaurantosaurus Burgers and Sundaes, a new experience coming August 18.

My favorite use of a Quick-Service Dining Plan credit is breakfast or lunch at Be Our Guest.  This is a great value compared to the out-of-pocket cost.  The food is delicious, and the atmosphere can't be beat!  This location is incredibly popular, and reservations are necessary.

John, please feel free to visit the Moms Panel again with any additional questions you might have.  We are always happy to help.

    Enjoy your stay!
