    Q-part 2: Which moderate resort do you recommend Port Orlean or Caribbean? And why? We have two daughters 5 & 9. Will be our first time in Disney. Coming from Toronto. Also what is a better time to visit Aug or Sep?

    I prefer the Port Orleans resorts over Caribbean Beach for a variety of reasons.

    Here are a few;
    • Transportation to the Parks: I find the bus transportation seems to be faster, as you spend less time driving around your resort hotel before departing for the destination.
    • Transportation to Downtown Disney: I love the boat ride from the Port Orleans resorts to Downtown Disney. It is like an attraction unto itself.
    • Resort Amenities: While I think the main pool at Caribbean Beach is better than the one at Port Orleans, there is still more to do in Port Orleans, including general exploring, carriage rides, etc.
    • Theming: I just have a preference for the themes in the Port Orleans resorts better, thought the themes are well executed at all three resorts.
    Now as to your other question, I far prefer September to August. Why? The crowds are much lighter due to school being back in session. Also, the rainy season ends in mid-September, so I find the weather a bit dryer. Finally, the temperatures are a bit more temperate, letting me feel like I am there in a summer season, but not that “melt on the asphalt” hot that Orlando can endure.

    So those are my TWO answers! I am glad to answer more of your questions! Keep them coming and let me know what other advice I can provide!

    Have a magical vacation!
