Hi Erin!
Welcome to planDisney. I'm happy to chat all things resort stay (and snacks) ahead of your visit.
I often place a grocery order to be delivered to my Disney Resort Collection hotel room, so my family always has early morning grab-and-go items and late night snack on hand. I've utilized a few different vendors over recent visits, and have not had a problem with items being delivered without me being there to receive them. However, there are a few things you'll need to consider.
First, you'll want to address your delivery with "Guest" and your name (and room number if you have one assigned) and list "in care of
Bell Services" so your driver knows you won't be there to meet them. There will be a
nominal delivery fee charged if you opt to have your items delivered directly to your room once you arrive, but it's worth the convenience, in my opinion, if you have a lot of bags or heavy items like cases of water. You are also welcome to pick up the items yourself at no additional cost. Lastly, you cannot have any alcoholic beverages delivered to your resort unless you will be there to meet the delivery driver personally. I've found that most resort gift shops and quick-service locations like
Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory have a decent selection of canned beer and wines on hand if you want to grab something to enjoy in your room. These are usually available via
Mobile Order, for added convenience.
You'll use this address- 2201 Orleans Drive, Lake Buena Vista, Florida 32830- for your grocery delivery to
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter. I did a quick Google search, and the closest Walmart appears to be at 3250 Vineland Rd, Kissimmee, FL 34746. There is another Walmart on Turkey Lake Road as well if you need an alternate option.
I hope this helped, Erin. If we can answer any additional questions, please don't hesitate to come back and let us know.
Magic and memories,
Amy
