Hiya, Robyn - welcome to planDisney! My oh my, what a wonderful day it is when your next
Walt Disney World Resort vacation is right around the corner. I definitely appreciate that you're thinking ahead to get all of your (Daisy) ducks in a row before your January trip, and it's my pleasure to offer up some tips for traveling with an ECV to make the logistics as easy as possible.
I actually just returned from a quick trip to The Most Magical Place on Earth with some of my planDisney pals, and I did spend a night at
Disney's All-Star Music Resort! Our family really likes the All-Star resorts as they have great pools and dining choices and the cost is definitely budget-friendly.
Your ECV will need to go in your room, as the corridors open to the outside and it can create a safety issue to leave it in the walkway. It's not necessary to request a room on the first floor since the elevators will accommodate the scooter, but it would certainly make things a little simpler. I would recommend requesting a building closer to the main check-in and bus pickup, as the All-Star layout is quite spread out and it can be a hike to travel to the buildings all the way at the back (especially if your battery is needing a charge!). You can
call to have a request added to your reservation, and also note this during the
Online Check-In process if it's listed as an option.
Robyn, I hope this information is helpful as your plans come into focus for your vacation. It's just around the corner! Don't forget that you can start booking
dining reservations 60 days before your check-in date, which is coming up quickly. Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney, and please come back and see us again if we can assist with any other questions.
See Ya Real Soon!
