Hi there Lauren,
Welcome to planDisney! I love your style... thinking ahead to bring an extra sprinkle of pixie dust for your stay at Disney World! You're going to have so much fun this summer at this terrific resort, so let's chat about your fun decorating options.
I recently took my very first
Disney Cruise, and discovered the fun tradition of decorating metal stateroom doors with individual magnets while at sea. However, for your magical land vacation you'll find that the door of your Cars room is not magnetic, so magnet decorations will not work. But "ka-chow!" your window cling idea is a Piston Cup Winner! While Disney resorts do not allow decorating room doors, you can use window clings on your room's window. This is a great option as they won't damage any surfaces, and will allow you to add a personal touch that can also help you more easily find your cozy cone for the night. I've also seen people decorate the window sills with favorite plush and other small toys.
My fellow panelist Michelle had some additional fun ideas on this topic of
decorating your Disney Resort room that you may find helpful.
Lauren, you are going to LOVE staying in a Cars-themed family suite at
Art of Animation Resort. The Cozy Cone Pool in this area is my family's favorite spot to chill out and relax. Ah tell you whut.... those Cone Cabanas are amazing! I love that they are totally free to use, on a first come first served basis. Don't forget your resort-refillable mugs to stay hydrated during your afternoon at the pool. And there's a refill station just a short walk away, at the bar near the Big Blue Pool.
I hope this helps, and happy vacation planning... the countdown is part of the magical fun! And please visit us again at planDisney with any other questions you may have, we're happy to help.
Say "Hey" to Mater for me,
Tami
