Ahoy, Samantha!
Congratulations on booking a cruise on the gorgeous Disney Dream! Deck 8 is one of my favorite decks on the Disney Fantasy and Disney Dream, because it is almost the middle deck, so everything is about the same distance from my room.
After checking the
Deck Plans on the Disney Cruise Line website, I see that while your staterooms are next to each other, they do not have the door to make the connecting rooms. But, I do have good news for you as well! Since both of your rooms have a verandah, your stateroom attendant can open the door between the verandahs, making a larger verandah for your family, plus allowing you to use that as your "hallway" between the two rooms.
Now, if you have younger children and will require the connecting door, you will want to get in touch with your Travel Agent as soon as possible so that they can look for different rooms for your family. Staterooms 8568 and 8570 are the closest staterooms that have a connecting door.
I hope this helps with your cruise planning! Please visit us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel again with more questions before you set sail!
Happy Cruising, Tracy V.
