Hi, so we put a Disney gift card on our on board credit and there was money left over which showed us a negative balance. We were just wondering if that money would be returned in gift card form or if it is almost forever.

    Waving hello to you Jordan!

Thanks for bringing your question to us at planDisney. I hope you had a wonderful Disney Cruise Line vacation and sailed back home with a treasure chest full of magical memories.  I'd be happy to help make sure all your sand dollars are accounted for post-cruise.

If you applied a Disney Gift Card to your onboard account and didn't spend the full amount your refund will be issued to the original forms of payment within 7-10 business days of the sailing's end. Hopefully, you are still in possession of the physical gift card(s) you used and if so, you'll be able to confirm the balance online to see when the refund is issued.

But don't get your hair wound up in a dinglehopper of worry if you have misplaced your gift card! I've been known to sort through my gadgets and gizmos after vacation only to realize something accidentally went missing along the way. I chatted with a friendly Disney Cruise Line Crew Member who let me know guests can stop by Guest Services while onboard to inquire about a replacement e-gift card, or reach out to the Guest Communications Team if you discover you've misplaced your treasure after disembarking. You can contact them via email at dcl.guest.communications@disneycruise.com for further assistance.

I hope this was helpful Jordan! Please stop back and let us know if we can answer any additional questions or help get you started planning your next vacation adventure!

    "Sea" you real soon,
    Amy
