When do they put up the autumn/haloween decor? Is it just done over night the day before the first night of mickeys not so scary halloween party, is it a week before the first event? Thank you

Hello, Anna! Thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Experiencing autumn at Walt Disney World Resort is one of my favorite annual traditions. From the giant pumpkins to the hues of gold and orange throughout the Parks, it’s all so lovely and festive. While you may see some decor beginning to make its way on display in early August, the bulk of it will appear right before Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party begins on August 16.

You’ll find autumnal decor on display in the other Theme Parks, Disney Springs and Walt Disney World Resort hotels, but Magic Kingdom Park is definitely the place to be if Fall is your jam. In addition to the decorations, make sure you check out the special treats available during that time of year, too. I always look forward to the Disney Parks Blog’s roundup of what all is available in each of the Theme Parks and Disney Springs. From cupcakes and cookies to savory snacks and main dishes, each Fall brings delicious goodies to the menu. And speaking of goodies, don’t forget that the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival returns this autumn, too!

I hope you enjoy your visit to Walt Disney World Resort this Fall, Anna. Please let us know if you have any other questions about your stay.
