Hi Alyssa!
Welcome back to planDisney! Just a few days ago,
Disney’s mask policy changed slightly. Guests are not required to wear a mask while in common outdoor areas such as walkways, sidewalks, and pool areas. Masks are still required in indoor locations such as inside resort hotels, stores, restaurants, and attraction queues. For some Guests, this is a welcome change! Any Guest who chooses to may still wear a mask in outdoor locations if that is their comfort level. At this point, it is hard to know what will happen over the next year. I am hopeful masks will not be needed by the fall of 2022, but we will just have to wait and see!
Disney Theme Park Tickets are
non-refundable and non-transferrable. That means that once you purchase them, you cannot return them for a refund. Never fear however, because in most cases the value paid for your Disney Theme Park Tickets still belongs to you. You can use the value paid for your wholly unused tickets toward the purchase of new Theme Park Tickets for a future trip, so you could wait for a time you felt more comfortable visiting. I also see not wanting to have money tied up in tickets if you aren’t going to use them. I would suggest waiting to see how things in the world play out before purchasing your tickets. As we have all seen over the past year, things are changing constantly, and it is tough to predict what things will look like over the next few months, let alone over a year away.
When you do feel comfortable visiting, stop back and see us here on planDisney where we are happy to answer all your questions!
