Hi Angela,
Welcome to planDisney, and thank you for your question! The
Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Single Pass options are fantastic ways to maximize your time in the parks and minimize wait times. The Multi Pass allows you to select up to three attractions per day with shorter queue times, while the Single Pass lets you prioritize individual high-demand rides.
When it comes to booking your Lightning Lane selections, here’s what you need to know. Guests staying at a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel can begin booking Lightning Lanes up to seven days before check-in, covering the length of their stay. If you are not staying at a Disney Resort hotel, you can start booking three days before your ticket’s start date.
There are different approaches to selecting Lightning Lane return times, and there’s no wrong way to do it. It all comes down to personal preference and availability when your booking window opens. Since I typically visit as a Guest of a Disney Resort, I take advantage of booking seven days out. My strategy is to book by park rather than in chronological order since some parks have attractions that book faster than others. For example, I may schedule
Disney’s Hollywood Studios in the middle of my trip and book Lightning Lanes there first rather than making selections for the first or last park of my trip. Now that you can view availability before finalizing your selections, you can adjust your approach based on what is open at the time of booking.
I hope this helps with your planning. If you’d like more detailed guidance based on your itinerary or specific parks,
I’d be happy to recommend which attractions to prioritize each day.
See you real soon!
Brent
