. We will be purchasing the Deluxe Dining plan. I have had Gastric Bypass surgery and am unable to eat an adult size meal. Does Disney offer an alternative for adults who can not eat an adult meal on the Dinning plans?

Hi, Gena!  I am a big fan of the dining plan in many cases, but at six years post-op RNY, I just can't eat enough to make it worth it for me!  My husband and I still share a lot of meals, so to have to sit down and order two meals would be way too much food.

No one that I know of has ever been able to purchase a children's dining plan to accommodate their gastric bypass, and a cast member i spoke with on your behalf informed me that it is indeed not an option.  I will say, though, that it can be tough finding things on the kids menu that is gastric bypass friendly.

There are accommodations that can be made to the meals you order to help with your newly gastrically altered self.  They can adapt meals to suit your needs, and I have been offered a child's price at buffets.  If your surgeon has the courtesy card, bring it with you.

I hope this helps answer your question.  I just am not sure there is any value in having the dining plan with gastric bypass patients.
