I have yet to find a friend or family member that has returned from a
Walt Disney World Resort vacation without at least a couple of bags of souvenirs. Don't tell my husband but I have even had to purchase an extra bag a few times in order to get all my "must-haves" home.
Unfortunately the resort package delivery option is not currently available. However, I am hoping it will return in the near future. When/if that happens, the service has always been offered to Guests staying at any
Disney Resorts Collection hotels. Absent any changes, Guests would be able to make purchases in most theme park and
Disney Springs merchandise locations and with the magic of Disney (plus the hard work of the Cast Members) these purchases would arrive at your Disney World hotel for pickup the following day. While you are probably disappointed that the service is not currently running, I do have a few suggestions to help keep you shopping away without having to carry bags all day.
First idea is to wait until later in the day to make your purchases. You could browse all day and then just before you head out, complete all your purchases. However, if you are worried about someone else buying that perfect Stitch coffee mug before you, I have a suggestion. Go ahead and make your purchases earlier in the day and store your bags in a locker until you are ready to leave. Each theme park and water park offers convenient
keyless lockers that can be used throughout the day for a small one time fee. The lockers are located near the main entrance and provide both self-service kiosk options as well as a Cast Member option if you need assistance. Just make sure you remember to pick up your items before leaving for the day.
One last idea is to ship your purchases directly to your home. Shipping options typically include UPS or FedEx and there is a small additional fee for the shipping. A Cast Member will be happy to help you arrange the shipment and this is a great way to not have to worry about how you are going to get that giant plush Mickey and Minnie on the airplane. All you need to do is let the Cast Member know you would like to arrange home delivery and they will take it from there.
