Welcome to planDisney, Joann!
Joann, I am so thrilled to hear that you are thinking of making a trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth!
I love the flexibility that I get by booking a
Walt Disney World Resort vacation package, instead of booking my
Disney Resorts Collection accommodations and theme park tickets separately, and I would love to tell you why.
When I book a vacation package, not only can I book my vacation with as little as $200 down, with the balance due 30 days before my check-in date, but the amount that I paid is completely refundable up to 30 days before check-in.
Now, Joann, this refund does apply to the
theme park tickets included in your vacation package. This is a great option if your plans are not completely firm because if you purchase theme park tickets on their own, they are non-refundable. Please note that payment terms and conditions are subject to change, so be sure to check the fine print before you book.
I see that you are thinking about a September vacation. This is such a wonderful time to visit since the crowds tend to be a little lower than the peak holiday times and you will be able to visit my absolute favorite Disney event, the
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival.
Oh, Joann, one last thing. As soon as you book your vacation package, go ahead and go into your
My Disney Experience Account and make your
Disney Park Pass system reservations. Dates do book-up so I always make my reservations as soon as I get my theme park tickets.
I hope that this gave you a bit of insight, Joann. Think of us here at planDisney as your planning partners-in-crime, so please come back here if we can answer any other questions for you.
We love to hEAR from you!
Sarah B.
