I purchased a vacation package for my family, but didn’t seem to make park reservations. The only 2 days not available are 2 of the 4 we’ll be there. Is there a way to make a last minute reservation or will we have to cancel our trip?

Hi, Brandon! Thanks for contacting planDisney with your question. I am sorry about your predicament, but I'm happy to offer a couple of suggestions. Mickey really hopes you'll still be able to visit soon!

We get many questions from guests in your exact situation, and I understand how disappointing it feels when you look at the theme park reservation calendar, and your dates are not available. Depending on whether you booked a Vacation Package at a Disneyland Resort Hotel or a Good Neighbor Hotel makes a difference. Currently, I see availability for your dates for guests staying at the Disneyland Resort Hotels, but it is indeed limited for the Good Neighbor Hotels. My advice is to call the Walt Disney Travel Company at (714) 520-5060. If you're at a Good Neighbor Hotel, they can possibly transfer your package to a Disneyland Resort Hotel if there is availability, and that calendar looks open. The Cast Members can best advise you of your options; they may also be able to move your reservation to a different week with availability.

Otherwise, I would keep checking the Availablity Calendar, as guests often cancel their theme park reservations as their dates get closer. I know this is not a guarantee, but I know many friends who have snagged last-minute reservations this way.

I'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed that everything works out for your family vacation, Brandon! We'd love it if you wrote back to let us know, and feel free to send in more questions. Take care!
