We purchased two lightning passes for my wife and my son, because we were going to ride space Mountain at 3:10pm like it said but after the purchase was made that time slot was no longer available and it said it wasn’t available until7:45pm.

    Hi Jason,

Thanks for visiting planDisney with your questions. It sounds like you’re at the park right now, so let’s get down to business. Lightning Lane reservations for popular rides like Space Mountain can be taken up very quickly. If you haven't made the reservation by the time you receive this message, I recommend going ahead and making one as soon as possible. If you’ve already made the reservation, be sure to keep making new ones as soon as you redeem each one. You’ll want to maximize the time you have left in the park. You can make a new reservation every 2 hours, or as soon as you redeem your last one. You can check the Disneyland website for a list of all the attractions you can enjoy with the Lightning Lane Multi Pass.

Just as a note, you don’t have to buy a Lightning Lane pass to enjoy Space Mountain—you can wait in the regular queue. If you’re still at the parks and haven’t used your Lightning Lane for the day, you can find a Guest Services Podium in the park, and a Cast Member may be able to help you with getting a refund. Guest Services is the best place to go for in-park assistance.

I hope this information was helpful, Jason. Don’t forget that you can use the Disneyland app for Mobile Ordering your dinner. This will save you time waiting in line. I love grabbing dinner at Docking Bay 7; I like to split the Endorian Fried Chicken Tip-Yip with my daughter. If you are not into watching fireworks, I recommend going on Thunder Mountain during the show. It adds an extra "blast" to the wildest ride in the wilderness.

If you have any other questions or need help with future planning, feel free to write back to me or one of my fellow panelists. We’d be happy to share our thoughts.

Hope you’re having a magical trip!
