Welcome, Clarisa! I'm so excited to see another Magic Key Holder here at planDisney, and I hope we can get you some answers to your questions, today.
I am sorry to hear that some unexpected circumstances have made it a little more complex to fully enjoy your
Disneyland Resort Magic Key this year. I'll be happy to share some information from the
Magic Key Terms and Conditions that might help inform your next steps. First, you should know that a Magic Key Pass must be activated within 1 year from the date of purchase by entering a Disneyland Resort theme park or using any valid
parking benefit for a fully-paid entry to a parking lot. If your Pass remains unactivated after 1 year, it will unfortunately expire and no future
theme park reservations may be associated with the Magic Key Pass.
However, it is possible to apply the value of your unactivated, expired Pass towards the purchase of a new Pass of equal or greater than the amount paid for the original Pass (subject to availability). Any difference in price must be paid at the time of your Magic Key Pass upgrade. I would also recommend reviewing the information in the
Terms and Conditions about the expiration dates of an upgraded Magic Key Pass.
Clarissa, I know this can be a lot to keep track of so please don't hesitate to call and speak with a Cast Member about your specific situation. I have always received wonderful support and helpful information from the dedicated
Magic Key phone line.
Clarissa, I am sending you and your family my most heartfelt and hopeful wishes that you are able to use your Magic Key to unlock some very special memories with your loved ones this year. If we can assist with any other helpful advice as you think about your upcoming visit to 'The Happiest Place on Earth,' please don't hesitate to reach out and ask your questions, here at
planDisney!
Wishing you magic, always!
