Hiya Lisa! Oh, boy... sounds like you're heading up some magical planning for a fun group of 7! You've come to the right place, and thank you for visiting us at planDisney. How exciting that you'll be at Disney World in just a few days. Woo hoo!
So here's the scoop. You will load the ticket purchase reservation number into your account, and then assign tickets to each guest. After doing so, each person will be able to see and access their own ticket. Let's walk through the steps!
You're going to want to start by adding all of the other guests in your
My Disney Experience account as "Family & Friends". You can do so either on the Disney World website, or inside the
My Disney Experience app. Since it sounds like some of your family already has a My Disney account set up, you'll want to link to their existing My Disney account.
From the app home screen, select the "≡" menu icon in the lower corner, scroll down to Account ~ Profile, and click the Family & Friends tab. Scroll down until you see the blue text "+ Add a Guest", and then select the option to "Scan their linking code". Instructions are then displayed on how to access and link to this code. It can be done either in person if your family member has their device handy with the app, or done remotely by sending each other a screen shot of their linking code.
Now add your ticket purchase number into your My Disney Experience app, and you will be able to easily assign one ticket to each individual's account. Again from that "≡" menu icon, go to "My Tickets & Passes" to link your ticket purchase... and then to scroll through each ticket and choose "Reassign Ticket", one for each guest. Save one for yourself, you don't want to miss out on all the pixie-dusted fun!!
Being connected as Friends & Family will help you plan together. If you wish to make any
advance dining reservations, or purchase any
Lightning Lane Passes, anyone included in those plans will also be able to see them in their My Disney Experience app. Did you know you can also use the app to check attraction wait times, or place a
mobile food order to save time standing in line? It's a pretty handy tool to have during your Disney Day! Between that and using my phone for videos and photos during the day... I always bring a portable charger, just in case my battery runs low.
I hope this helps you get everything ready to go for your Disney Park adventure! Please visit me again at planDisney if I can answer any other questions.
Have a magical time!
