Liz,
Thanks for asking your question to planDisney!
So the good news is that you do not have to assign a date to your tickets for
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon. Unlike with tickets for the theme parks, where you do need to use the
Disney Park Pass System to book a reservation to a specific park, the water parks do not need such a reservation. There are some tickets for the water parks that include blackout dates, but assuming that is not an issue, you are welcome to use them when needed.
As for the
Beachcomber Shacks, I just spent some time in them during the taping of the first
planDisney podcast. The podcast showcased the reopening to the Typhoon Lagoon water park, as well as discussion on other ideas for Spring Break. The shacks were spacious, had great amenities, and were ideally located in the water park. I loved the great views of the surf pool, quick access to food and drink stands, but also how secluded they were. A fantastic home base for your party!
I would recommend you select the day you plan to go and then call 407-WDW-PLAY (407.939.7529) to book that Beachcomber Shack as soon as you can. They can get snapped up quickly.
Have a Magical Vacation!
Doug
