Welcome to planDisney, Linda! A visit to the
Disneyland Resort is already filled with magic, and having
Lightning Lane Multi Pass included with your tickets is a fantastic way to make the most of your day. I’m happy to help you sort through the details so you can feel confident before you arrive.
If you purchased Lightning Lane Multi Pass as part of your theme park ticket package, it is automatically linked to your ticket once the tickets are properly connected to your
Disneyland account. You won’t see a separate “activation” button in the app ahead of time. Instead, Lightning Lane Multi Pass becomes usable after you scan into your first park of the day. Once you’ve entered, you’ll be able to open the
Disneyland app and book your first Lightning Lane return time right away. If you’d like added peace of mind before your visit, you can tap on your tickets in the app to confirm Lightning Lane Multi Pass is listed in the ticket details. You could also call the
Disneyland Guest Information line, where a Cast Member can review your account and confirm everything is properly linked.
Here’s a Lightning Lane Q-Tip for when you arrive: with a little strategy, you can stack return times throughout the day. For example, if you book
Matterhorn Bobsleds at 9:00 a.m. and receive a return window for later in the afternoon, you don’t have to wait until you ride it to book something else. You can make another Lightning Lane selection either after you redeem your first one or two hours after booking it (whichever comes first). That means you could secure
Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway next while still holding your Matterhorn return time. I like to set a reminder on my phone so I don’t miss that two-hour window.
It’s also wise to reserve popular attractions early in the day, as return times for
Space Mountain,
Indiana Jones Adventure, and
Haunted Mansion tend to fill quickly. My family loves arriving about 30 minutes before rope drop, enjoying a few attractions with lower standby waits, and then letting Lightning Lane carry us smoothly through the afternoon.
I hope this helps you feel ready to step confidently into your Disneyland Resort adventure, Linda. If any other questions pop up, we’re always delighted to help here at planDisney.
Enjoy your visit!
