Hi there, Tiffany!
Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney. I'm happy to help!
Standard theme park tickets are considered non-refundable so unfortunately, you wouldn't be able to apply the value paid for your friend's ticket toward dining, merchandise, or any
Enchanting Extras Collection experiences. However, if that member of your party is unable to attend on the original dates, the value of those unused tickets can typically be applied to the purchase of new standard theme park tickets of equal or greater value for a future visit. There are a few exceptions to consider, however.
If you have booked a room and ticket Vacation Package, the theme park tickets included in your package will expire according to the package guidelines. This is typically at midnight on your check-out day. In that case, your guest would not be able to make any modifications to those tickets. Though you may be able to cancel and rebook your Vacation Package to remove the guest who can no longer attend, you'll need to be mindful of the
cancelation policies. Packages canceled within 2-29 days of arrival are subject to a cancelation fee. Since you are already within that window with a September 8 arrival date, this might not be the best option.
Unfortunately, I don't have access to your account details so I don't know whether you'll be visiting with a Vacation Package or with a multi-day ticket without a resort stay. I recommend
contacting a Cast Member by phone to discuss the specifics of your situation. They should be able to review your details and advise on the best course of action. Hopefully, your friend can travel as originally planned. I'll keep my fingers crossed that you'll all be able to enjoy a magical visit together next month!
Tiffany, if we can answer any other planning questions please come back and let us know.
Magic and memories,
Amy
