Welcome, Elizabeth.
I’m so glad you stopped by planDisney today, because the last thing we want to happen when planning a Walt Disney World Resort vacation is for you to be in tears. You’re going to The Most Magical Place on Earth, after all, so let’s see if I can help you turn that frown upside down.
There is a good chance your
Theme Park Reservation was made for you at the time of purchase, depending on when you actually purchased your theme park tickets. Beginning on December 8, 2022, park-specific 1-day, 1-park tickets began at Walt Disney World Resort. What this means is, if you purchased 1-day park tickets for
Magic Kingdom Park after December 8th, your Theme Park Reservation at Magic Kingdom Park was made for you at the time of purchase. You can verify whether or not you already have a Theme Park Reservation at Magic Kingdom Park in your
My Disney Experience account online. Hover your cursor over the words “My Disney Experience” at the top-right of the screen, then select “My Plans” from the options that appear. Scroll down to the “My Plans, Reservations and Tickets” section and look to see if there is a Theme Park Reservation at Magic Kingdom Park on February 21st (look for the words “Disney Park Pass” on that date).
If you do not see your Theme Park Reservation listed there, don’t give up! Guests change their plans all the time, so there is still a chance availability could open back up for Magic Kingdom Park before you arrive. I suggest checking the
Theme Park Reservation Availability Calendar at least twice a day to see if Magic Kingdom Park shows as available again. Keep checking even up to the night before or morning of February 21st. On our trip in November, my husband and I were able to modify one of our Theme Park Reservations to Disney’s Hollywood Studios the night before we wished to visit when it had previously been unavailable, so there’s always a chance that could work out for you too.
If not, I suggest you go ahead and make a Theme Park Reservation at a park that is currently available so you can still make memories with your young Mouseketeer during your trip. If you upgrade your tickets to have the
Park Hopper Option, you can then Park Hop over to Magic Kingdom Park after Park Hopper hours begin at 2:00 p.m. and spend the rest of the day there with your little one.
Elizabeth, I hope this information helps put your mind and heart at ease. I’m sending a little extra pixie dust your way in the hopes everything works out in your favor. If you need more clarification or think of further questions, don’t hesitate to stop by again and let me know. Have a magical trip!
See ya real soon,
Alyssa
