Amanda from CA Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

We purchased tickets on July 17th and were planning on visiting the part on 11/28 and 11/29 however we need to change our plans. How may I find out when the tickets expire?

Welcome to planDisney, Amanda! I’m truly sorry to hear that your visit plans had to shift. It’s never easy to change a Disneyland Resort trip, especially when you’ve been looking forward to stepping through those turnstiles and soaking in that unmistakable sense of magic. Even so, I’m glad you reached out, because there are a few helpful paths forward that can keep your future visit just as enchanting.

First, you’re absolutely right to check on your ticket expiration. Theme park tickets at the Disneyland Resort are non-refundable, but the bright side is that most standard tickets offer a generous usage window. In many cases, tickets remain valid for up to 16 months from the date of purchase (which gives you plenty of room to plan a new set of dates when life settles back into place). Since you purchased your tickets in July, there’s a good chance you still have additional time to use them; we just want to double-check the specifics for your exact ticket type.

To find your ticket’s expiration date, I recommend starting with the confirmation email you received at the time of purchase. The message usually includes both the ticket type and its valid date range. If you no longer have that email, no worries! You can also view ticket details directly in the Disneyland app. Just open the app, tap the menu symbol (the ☰ icon in the bottom right), and select “Tickets and Passes.” Each ticket will display its expiration information, making it easy to confirm your window.

And here’s another bit of good news: if your ticket remains completely unused and is still unexpired when you’re ready to go back, you can apply its original value toward the purchase of a new ticket of equal or greater value. This can include a brand-new single-park ticket or even an upgrade to a Park Hopper if you’d like a little extra flexibility for your next visit. The option to upgrade is especially handy if you’re dreaming of starting your morning in Disneyland and wrapping up with some evening energy in Disney California Adventure.

If you’d prefer a bit of personal guidance, the Disneyland Tickets line is a wonderful resource. Friendly Cast Members can look up your specific ticket, explain your options, and help you navigate any next steps.

When your schedule does open up again, I hope your next visit lands during one of the Resort’s upcoming seasons of magic. Whether it’s the festive glow of the holidays, the vibrant colors of springtime, or the tasty fun of summertime treats, there’s always something new waiting just around the corner. Keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog to see what’s coming next!

Amanda, I hope this brings clarity and reassurance as you adjust your plans. Please feel free to visit us again at planDisney anytime. Your next adventure is never far away.

    Have a truly magical day,
    David
