Hi there, LaCinda!
First, I want to assure you that your
theme park tickets are absolutely still good. You are correct that you may need to pay a difference in price, if applicable, but the price that you paid for your ticket will never expire.
You are talking about the new
Disney Park Pass system reservations. In order to help facilitate physical distancing, Walt Disney World Resort is limiting the number of guests in each park by requiring each guest to have a theme park reservation. There is no extra charge for a reservation on top of your valid theme park ticket.
Since you already have a theme park ticket the first thing that you will want to do is to get your ticket updated to your correct dates. You can do this by calling (407) 939-5277 and the friendly Cast Member will assist you.
Next, log into your
My Disney Experience Account and click on "My Plans."
You should see a blue ribbon underneath your personalized icon that says "Family & Friends," "Resort Hotel," "Park Tickets," "Park Reservations," and "
Dining."
Hover over "Park Reservations" and a blue button should appear that says "Make a Park Reservation." Once you click on this button, you will be directed to a new page where you can select your party, dates, and theme park.
That's it!
Availability does book up, so I would recommend that you make your Disney Park Pass system reservations as far in advance as possible.
I know that things may be a little different now than when you were planning on visiting previously, so we here at planDisney are here to help you navigate your magical planning adventure or to answer any other questions that you may have.
See you real soon!
