Hello, we had purchased tickets for the 19th to go into magic Kingdom. However some of our parties were not able to make reservations to the same park Are we able to change our park reservation to another park or do we have to buy new tickets as well?

    Karimar,

Thanks for asking your question to planDisney!

You absolutely can change your theme park reservations using the Disney Park Pass system, so no, you would not have to buy all new tickets. However, you will want to be sure that the parks you were moving to have availability on those particular dates. Here are the steps you will want to follow for that change.

    1. Start by confirming that the park you want to switch to has availability, based on your ticket type, for that particular day. If there is no availability, you may want to keep your original reservation. You can check the availability at the Disney Park Pass Availability Calendar.
    2. Next, go to your My Disney Experience account and select "My Plans". Find the theme park reservation on the day that you want to change and click on "View Details". On the next page, you will want to click on "Cancel This Reservation", selecting all the guests for whom you wish to cancel.
    3. Finally, all you must do is go in to make the updated reservation selection, as you did before, with your new park selection.
    BONUS TIP
It probably goes without saying, but having the My Disney Experience App installed on everyone's smartphones is a really great idea. Having all your plans at your fingertips makes your trip smoother.

Write me back if you have any other questions.
