I had purchased tickets February 27, 2020, right before the park shutdown due to Covid. I’m a non-California resident though (from Chicago). Are we able to enter the park now? ...especially because our tickets are only good until the end of this year.

    Hiya Eunice!

Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for stopping by with your question for us.

I’m so excited about Disneyland Resort’s reopening. Although I, too, am not a California resident, I’ve been dreaming about the reopening ever since! To help curb my yearning for the magic, I follow planDisney’s Instagram account, @planDisneyPanel, and it brings a dose of much-needed magic into the comforts of my home!

Eunice, due to health and safety guidelines, Disneyland Resort is currently open to the residents of the state of California. I would recommend for you to keep your eyes on the Disney Parks Blog and the Disneyland Resort website as they will be among the first to announce when theme park reservations will be opening up for Guests living outside of the state!

Since Disneyland Resort offers several types of tickets, I recommend you speak to a Cast Member about the expiration dates of your tickets. You can call Disneyland Ticket Services at (714) 781-4636. Disneyland Resort has announced expiration date extensions for a few different Theme Park tickets. These include Southern California Resident Tickets, Canada Resident Tickets, and 2020 Military Salute Tickets. Non-promotional single-day tickets that expired on December 30, 2020 have also been extended to December 16, 2021.

We can’t wait to welcome you back to the magic when the time is right, Eunice!
