Hello, I have purchased tickets for our family to visit Disneyland CA on January 3rd--everything I read tells me I need a valid ticket AND park reservation for the day of my visit. Do I have a reservation? How do I make one in addition to my ticket purchas

Hiya, Kendall! Welcome back to planDisney!

Oh boy, it sounds like you're making plans to ring in the new year at the Happiest Place on Earth! I can't think of a better, more magical start for 2023. But before we can get you into the parks, we need to talk about theme park reservations. Let's go!

Kendall, everything you've read is correct – a trip to Disneyland Resort includes both theme park tickets and a theme park reservation. This is an important step to reserve the parks you'd like to visit on each day of your trip! Thankfully, these reservations are easy to make. All you need to do is head to the Theme Park Reservation System page and click "Make Park Reservations" since you've already purchased your tickets! Then, follow the prompts to make your reservation for your desired date. I would recommend making this reservation as soon as you're able to since dates can book up in advance! You can always keep an eye on the Theme Park Reservation Availability calendar to view the current availability.

I'd also suggest taking a little time to download and explore the Disneyland mobile app. A little like holding a magic wand in your hand, you'll be able to view park maps, check wait times for attractions, and even mobile order food - my favorite! This is a great way to minimize waits and maximize the fun.

If you have any other questions, I hope you visit us again real soon!
