If I purchased tickets to Disneyworld, but I have to cancel, are the Park tickets refundable or can I save for another trip?

Hiya, Ann, and welcome to planDisney! It sounds like you're in the planning stages of a visit to my favorite home-away-from-home, Walt Disney World Resort. As a long-time visitor, I can assure you that you will have the time of your life! But it also sounds like your plans need to be flexible, so let's see what options you'd have for your Theme Park Tickets if you need to cancel your trip or change your dates.

Theme Park Tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable, Ann, but I do have some good news if a change is needed down the road. As long as the tickets haven't been used, yet, then you should be able to change your dates to a future time. You would be able to do this on your My Disney Experience account, or you could call a friendly Cast Member for help on the Existing Tickets line. Keep in mind that ticket prices are linked to dates, so you might have a balance to pay. The Cast Member can help you with that, or you will be prompted to pay online if you make the changes yourself.

If you purchase tickets, don't forget to make your Theme Park Reservations as soon as you can. Currently, you'll need a reservation for each day you plan to visit the parks. If you do change your dates down the road, you'll also need to change those park reservations. You can make Theme Park Reservations and make changes through your My Disney Experience account online also.

Ann, I suppose Olaf wasn't entirely correct when he sang that some things never change. We know they do! I hope you're able to make plans and enjoy some magic and pixie dust soon. Stop back by planDisney anytime!

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
