Hello Therese! Thank you for bringing your question to planDisney!
Making plans for any Disney trip can be super exciting, especially if it's your first time! I bet you and your party are eagerly counting down the days until you can step into the magical world that only Walt Disney could bring to life!
While both
Walt Disney World Resort and
Disneyland Resort have some similar rides, attractions, and shows, because they are two separate properties and entities,
Theme Park Tickets between the two are not able to be swapped. Tickets purchased for Walt Disney World Resort need to be used at the Resort in Florida, while Tickets purchased for Disneyland Resort only allow entry to the Parks in California.
Since I know this is not what you're hoping to hear, I suggest getting in touch with a Cast Member at the Disneyland Resort Tickets line at (714) 781-4636 or the Existing Tickets line at Walt Disney World Resort at (407) 934-7639 to see what, if any, other options there may be.
If you can't make it to Walt Disney World Resort during this trip don't feel like all is lost! Even if your current Tickets expire, as long as they remain unused, the value of those Tickets will remain in your account. This means that you'll be able to put the value of your unused Tickets toward a future Walt Disney World Resort Ticket purchase for when you
are able to visit Florida!
Walt Disney World Resort always feels like home to me and I would highly suggest you try to make it there someday! With over 40 square miles of magic, the Resort is totally immersive and I promise you'll leave wishing you could stay even longer. Between the fireworks like
Disney Enchantment, the attractions like
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at
EPCOT, and other incredible Parks,
Water Parks, and the shopping, dining, and entertainment district of
Disney Springs, you'll be glad you finally made the trek to The Most Magical Place on Earth.
I hope you enjoy your trip no matter where you end up finding your magic!
