Hello there, Charlene, and welcome to planDisney!
Thanks for coming to us with your question and how wonderful to hear that you have a
Holiday Season visit to the Disneyland Resort planned! It's one of the most beautiful times to see the Resort and the decorations will have you in a festive mood in no time at all! There's just something magical about walking through the underpass onto Main Street, U.S.A. and seeing the 60 ft. Christmas Tree reaching up into the sky, all decorated with gifts piled underneath.
I'm sorry to hear that one of your party members will be unable to join you on your trip to the Happiest Place on Earth. According to the
eTicket Terms and Conditions, Disneyland Resort Theme Park Tickets are nonrefundable, nontransferable, and may not be redeemed for cash (or a Gift Card). They do, however, have very long expiration dates, so it's entirely possible for you to hold onto it for a future visit. For instance, if you were to purchase a Multi-Day Ticket now, it wouldn't expire until January 12, 2026 (or 13 days after first use, whichever comes first). Even if the ticket were to expire, the cost of a wholly unused, expired ticket may be applied towards the purchase of a new ticket of equal or greater value, so you've definitely got some options. If you'd like to speak to a Cast Member about your specific situation, please call the
Tickets phone line.
Have you heard that
Haunted Mansion Holiday will be
returning later this year? By the time your visit comes around, you should be able to experience this wonderful overlay along with the newly
Expanded Grounds and queue! I can't wait to see what the Imagineers have created because one of my favorite things about the Parks are the immersive queues.
Charlene, I'm sorry that I couldn't provide a more positive answer but I don't think your ticket will go to waste. I've heard of situations where other Guests have been able to get credit for an old Disneyland Resort Ticket decades after it was purchased. If you need anything further, please feel free to contact us again in the future. You're always welcome at planDisney and we'd love to hear from you.
Wishing You a Great, Big, Beautiful Tomorrow!
