I purchased tickets for Disney Christmas parade in November, $179 each. Are these tickets the same as Disney Christmas after hours? If we are already going to be at Magic Kingdom all day and have a day pass, do I still need to pay these $179 extra?

Welcome to planDisney Estefania! Thanks for stopping by!

You are so lucky that you and your party will be experiencing the joy of the holidays at Walt Disney World Resort! I love visiting this magical Resort at any time of year, but after finally touring the Parks and Resorts during the holidays last year I have to say there is just a little bit of extra pixie dust floating around during this time!

Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is such a memorable event, and it sounds like you're in for the party!  Besides the fabulous Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, Guests of this winter wonderland extravaganza will also be delighted with shows like Mickey's Most Merriest Celebration and Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks Show, special character greetings, holiday-themed attractions, cookies and cocoa AND shorter lines for some of your favorite rides and attractions around Magic Kingdom! It really is an extra special night that you will remember forever.

Since you mention that you've already purchased your Tickets to this event, get ready for some fun! Tickets to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party are nontransferable and nonrefundable so jingle all the way to Magic Kingdom for the celebration! You are correct that the Tickets to the Christmas Party are a separate, special event purchase, different from your Theme Park Tickets or Vacation Package you may have also already purchased.  All Guests wishing to stay for the Christmas Party are required to have a Ticket specific for that day's event, even if they have already spent the day playing in the Park.

The event takes place from 7 p.m. to midnight, but Guests entering the Parks just for the Party are welcome to scan into Magic Kingdom as early as 4 p.m.  If you would rather visit another Park earlier in the day and save your "Magic Kingdom Day" for a different day of your vacation, all you'll need to do is change your Theme Park Reservations. Just make sure there is availability on the calendar before you cancel your original reservations and rebook.

Have a holly jolly visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth!
