    Purchased tickets, then Covid happened, Our printed tickets say Valid thru Jan 12 2022 (Originaly June 1 2021) 2 Day 1 park a day with MaxPass for 3 of us. We are unable to come during Christmas (we are out of state in WA) can they be extended thru 2022?

    Hi Trish!

    It has been a long year and a half of many challenges, hasn’t it? We had to cancel or postpone several family trips due to the pandemic, and we too found ourselves the happy owners of Disneyland Theme Park Tickets we could not use.

    Disney did kindly extend the expiration date of most tickets that were purchased before the pandemic, including ours. While I don’t think there are any plans to extend the expiration further, not to worry, that doesn’t mean you lose out on your tickets completely! The expiration extension allowed those of us with the older tickets to use those tickets without paying any fees to upgrade to the new type of tiered tickets. But when the tickets expire, it doesn’t mean they have no value.

    Wholly unused non-promotional tickets, even those past the expiration date, typically retain the value paid for them and can be used toward the purchase of a new ticket at the same or higher price point. So if you cannot use your tickets before this January, don’t worry. You can use the value you paid for those tickets to purchase new tickets for when you can reschedule! You’ll simply need to pay the difference between the original tickets and the new tickets.

    I hope this helps alleviate any concerns, Trish. Maybe the perfect holiday gift is a rebooked Disneyland Resort vacation for next summer?
