Hello! I purchased a Costco/disneyland ticket hotel and travel package. I want to add park hopper to my tickets now but when I call I continued to be kept on hold and/or transferred. Can I add it to my ticket once it’s on my Disney app three days prior?

    Hi Nicole,

Thanks for visiting planDisney! I’m so glad to hear you have a magical vacation coming up. Upgrading to Park Hopper tickets sounds like a fantastic idea! Tons of folks love to hop back and forth between Disneyland and California Adventure because it gives them a lot more flexibility with their plans. Park hopping is such an easy process too, with both theme park entrances being just a short walk from each other.

Once you are able to link your tickets to your MyDisney account, you will be able to upgrade your tickets from the Disneyland app. Launch the app and click the three bars at the bottom of the screen (≡), then select “My Tickets & Passes.” Select the ticket you want to upgrade, look for an option to modify your ticket, and then follow the prompts. Alternatively, you can upgrade your tickets in person on the first day of your visit. You can walk up to a ticket booth in the esplanade or go to Guest Relations in either of the parks, and a Cast Member will be able to assist you.

Remember, when you are park hopping, you can start switching between parks starting at 11:00 AM. The park where you make your reservation is the park you will start your day in. I like to take into consideration park hours and early entry opportunities when deciding which park to start my day at.

I hope this information was helpful, Nicole. From March 28 to May 11, Disneyland will be celebrating the Season of the Force. There will be special food, merchandise, and entertainment throughout the park. Be sure to check out Fire of the Rising Moons: This is a galactic perspective of the nightly fireworks from Galaxy's Edge. There will be a special edition of this show called “Shadows of Memory: A Skywalker Saga.” The Disney Parks Blog has released a Season of the Force guide and the Foodie Guide to make sure you don’t miss a thing!

I hope this information was helpful, Nicole. If you have any other questions or need help planning, feel free to reach out to me or one of my fellow panelists. We’d be happy to share our thoughts.

    Have a magical vacation!
