We are planning a trip and are going to be staying at The Disneyland Hotel for 5 days but only want to buy park tickets for 3 days, can we do that? Our plan is to have a hotel rest day in between park days

    Hi Jessica,

Thanks for visiting planDisney with your question. Park days often include early mornings and late nights, so you could get back to the hotel pretty exhausted. It’s so smart of you to build in a rest day for your trip to ensure that you are recharged to hit the next park. It’s also nice to take time to explore the hotel and the downtown area!

Good news, you can absolutely buy park tickets for three days! When you purchase multi-day tickets, they must be used within 13 days of first use or by January 12, 2027, whichever occurs first. So, you can space out your park days in whatever way makes sense to you. There are some other ticket deals that have different terms of use, so be sure to read the fine print for your ticket type.

I recently had a staycation at the Villas at the Disneyland Hotel and had a great time. I highly recommend visiting The Vista, which is the upstairs lounge at the Parkside Market. It was nice to be up there and overlook part of Downtown Disney. I got a drink called “On the Wing,” because it comes in a really cool bird glass. If you have kids with you and they still need to get their wiggles out, head to the LIVE! Stage to hear some great music as your kids play in the grassy area.

I hope this was helpful, Jessica. If you have any other questions or need help planning, feel free to reach out to me or one of my fellow panelists. We’d be happy to share our thoughts.

    Have a magical vacation!
