Welcome to planDisney, Michael.
I’m so sorry to hear that your plans have changed and that you need to change your reservation dates. I completely understand how disheartening it can be to put a pause on a visit to the Happiest Place on Earth, especially if you’ve been counting down the days. While this may not be the news you were hoping for, I’m glad to share a few options that might help you keep the magic on the horizon.
Although
Disneyland Resort theme park tickets are non-refundable, there’s some good news: most standard tickets are valid for 16 months from the date of purchase. That gives you plenty of time to reschedule your trip when the timing feels right for you. To double-check your specific expiration date, you can refer to your original confirmation email. You can also find this information in the
Disneyland app. Just tap the ☰ (hamburger icon) in the lower right corner, then select “Tickets and Passes.”
And here’s another helpful option: if your plans shift again down the line, the value of a wholly unused and unexpired Disneyland Resort ticket can be applied toward the purchase of a new ticket of equal or greater value. This flexibility can really come in handy when your travel dates or plans are in flux. For help with any of these options, I recommend reaching out to the
Tickets line directly. A friendly Cast Member will be happy to walk you through your choices and find the best next step.
When you’re ready to return, there’s a whole world of magic waiting for you. Be sure to check the
2025 Disneyland Resort Event Calendar on the
Disney Parks Blog. Whether it’s pumpkin-spiced everything during Halloweentime, the sparkling charm of the holiday season, or a casual afternoon stroll through Galaxy’s Edge with a Cold Brew Black Caf in hand, your next adventure could be even more special than the one you planned.
I hope this information brings you some peace of mind, Michael. If you need anything else, or just want help planning the perfect return visit, we’re always here at planDisney and happy to help.
Wishing you comfort, clarity, and a little pixie dust,
David
