If I purchased a multi-day park tickets for Disney World, then later, after I’ve already used one of the days, can I upgrade just the remaining days left or even just one day to park hop?

Hello Tony!  Thanks for stopping by planDisney!

You and your party are going to have such an incredible time when you arrive at Walt Disney World Resort this fall!  Between the 50th Anniversary of the Resort, EPCOT's International Food and Wine Festival, and the possibility of Disney's After Hours Boo Bash returning this year, you're bound to find special extras sprinkled throughout your entire stay!

My family and I are definitely "pro" Park Hopper Option, as we love to get up with the sun to use our Early Theme Park Entry time to get on some of our favorite popular attractions.  In the afternoon we usually head back to our Disney Resorts Collection hotel for a nap and dip in the pool, and then we continue on to a different Park that evening for dinner and fireworks! Since Disney transportation is easy, convenient, and sometimes very exciting, we don't mind spending some time changing locations during the day.  Just thinking about our usual itinerary makes me wish I was planning another trip right now.

While you are certainly welcome to upgrade your Standard Theme Park Ticket halfway through your vacation, the price increase will be based on the length of your entire ticket, not just the days you want to upgrade.  Because of this, you'll find that if you're planning on "hopping" at all, you might as well have the option from your very first day! You can choose to upgrade your ticket right on your My Disney Experience account.  If you cannot find this option in the "Tickets and Passes" section within your account or mobile app, you can always call and speak to a friendly Cast Member at (407)934-7639.

If you do want to wait and see if you would like to hop once you're already at the Resort, stopping by any Guest Relations location will allow you to speak directly to a Cast Member who can help upgrade your ticket.  Just remember that tickets must be upgraded within 14 days of first use and need to still have at least one entitlement on them to upgrade.  This means that if you've already swiped into the last Park day of your trip, but want to add on more days, you'll need to purchase an entirely new ticket instead of adding on.  Long story short, add on early and use every moment to your advantage! There's nothing like hearing the morning birds chirp as you speed walk through Cinderella Castle, taking a swim during the high afternoon sun, and then finishing off the day with a bang, enjoying the new fireworks show, Harmonious, at EPCOT

    Enjoy your upcoming adventure!
